Frequently Asked Questions.
Yelken employs hourly pricing for websites you have created. Imagine that you have created a website with a $5/month plan and deleted it after running for exactly 12 hours. The $5/month plan has a cost of $0.00744 per hour. Consequently, with 12 hours run, you will be billed for $0.09 for this website at the end of the month.
Yelken rounds up the running hour to obtain an integer number. Additionally, Yelken assumes that there are 28 days in a month, with each day consisting of 24 hours. By dividing the monthly price of a resource by 672 hours (28 days x 24 hours = 672 hours), cost per hour is calculated.
This depends on whether you create additional resources for your website. In Yelken, a website is represented as a Project resource. The project is a top-level resource that can have other resources attached to it. Besides project, there is Environment resource, which actually represents a running instance of your website.
Cost-wise, a project has no cost, but the environments attached to it do. By default, Yelken creates and attaches an environment with the plan you have chosen to a newly created project. In addition to the default environment, when you create a new environment on your own within a project, it is assigned the lowest plan for the project's web application. For this reason, to keep the cost low, it is advised to delete any unused environments.
The discount specified for a plan applies to the projects you created with that plan. For example, if the WordPress Basic plan offers a 50% discount, all projects you create during the discount's effective period will receive it. Once you create a project with a discount, it will be valid for the duration specified, such as 3 months. When the discount specified in your project's plan ends, you will be billed at the normal prices.
Please note that Yelken can change discount rates at any time without notifying you, and any new project created after the change will have the new discount or none at all.
No, you don't need to provide a credit card during registration. However, for automatic payment to happen, you must have a credit card saved in the system when you are billed for your usage, which happens at the end of the month.
Yes, you can upgrade your project's plan if a higher plan is available for your project's web application.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible for you to downgrade your project's plan. Since the storage size of a project cannot be shrunk, Yelken does not allow downgrading. However, it is planned to alleviate this limitation in the future.
