This Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use your personal information in relation to Yelken's websites, applications, products, services, events, and experiences that refer to this Privacy Policy (collectively, "Yelken Services"). For customers from Republic of Turkey, they are bound with Gizlilik Politikası policy. It is advised for them to read mentioned agreement.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to "content" processed, stored, or hosted by our customers who use Yelken Services in connection with a Yelken account. For more information on how we handle content and how our customers can control their content through Yelken Services, please see our Terms of Service agreement. This Privacy Policy does not apply to products, services, websites, or content offered by third parties or that have their own privacy policies.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
Whether you directly or indirectly benefit from Yelken's websites, applications, products, services, or events through any means, or subscribe to the newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, we collect your personal data in the situations specified below:
- Creating a Yelken Account to use Services.
To address you, enter into or fulfill a contract with you, and communicate with you during the process of creating a Yelken Account to utilize our services, we collect your identity and contact information. For this purpose, we collect your name and email address.
- Paying bills as a result of use of Services.
We collect detailed payment information from you for the purpose of paying the usage costs resulting from your use of the services. Accordingly, we collect the name and full address of the person to whom the invoice will be issued, and the payment method from which the payment will be obtained. As an example of a payment method, you can specify your credit card information. Payment method data such as credit card information is not stored on our Platform, but is processed directly through our Payment Instrument, which complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
- Usage and device data.
To ensure the security of our platform and you, improve your user experience, better understand your needs by getting to know you, improve our communication with you, conduct analysis to achieve these goals, measure your satisfaction with our services, improve and diversify our services in line with your requests and needs, and conduct necessary quality and standard audits, we collect information on how you use our platform and the devices you access it from. Accordingly, we collect usage and device data such as the products and services you access (such as the web pages you visit), how you interact with them during this process (such as clicking buttons on web pages), technical information about your device (such as browser version), and your IP address.
